“FROM WAKING UP FIRST THING IN THE MORNING... ENSURING EVERYONE MAKES IT UP THE HILL TO WORK ON TIME TO SETTLING INTO YOUR WORKING DAY AND TRYING TO RACE EVERYONE ELSE TO BE THE FIRST OUT ON THE HILL! NO TWO DAYS ARE EVER THE SAME, AND EVERY WEEK OF GUESTS BRINGS NEW FACES INTO THE CHALETS. NEW DINNER CHAT, NEW LAUGHS AND NEW EXPERIENCES.” - Nicky - Team F&P 2012-2016
Fish&Pips is a small and personable chalet company based in one of the best resorts in the Alps - Meribel. We pride ourselves on our exceptional food, friendly yet professional service and superb chalet locations.
As a proactive member of the team, your responsibilities will include providing a shuttle service for guests in mornings and early evenings, being responsible for the maintenance of the chalets and hot tubs, stock taking, snow clearing, vehicle maintenance, some in-chalet duties and support for chalet teams. You will have a great deal of guest interaction so must have excellent client facing skills. Enthuasiasm for skiing or snowboarding or wanting to learn is essential.
Applicants with a clean D1 driving licence and Driver CPC, RosPA qualified drivers or applicants with two years professional driving experience are preferred, but not essential - a good driving record is essential as well as having the ability to drive a 9 seater, long wheel based minibus in all conditions - including snow and ice.
Most importantly we are looking to build a team that works well together both in the chalets and out on the slopes. Twelve years of experience has proved to us that this team work is key to the success not only of Fish&Pips but also your season.
Our driver roles are extremely varied and you will be the glue for the rest of our team working in chalets - team work and flexibility are essential traits for the successful candidates. There are lots of adhoc duties including snow clearing, shopping trips, stock takes, also providing host cover in chalets when needed.
We are looking for a hard-working team to maintain our high standards with masses of enthusiasm for the job in hand, a love for the mountains, an eye for detail and a professional attitude. We value our staff hugely as we recognise they are fundamental in ensuring all of our guests enjoy every aspect of their holiday. We are firm believers in looking after your staff and that a happy team makes for happy guests! We therefore think providing the following is essential: 3 Valley pass, generous staff accommodation, a competitive package, more skiing time than most, amongst numerous other perks you get from working in small team such as ours.
