La Taiga is looking for a sous chef for this Winter season. You will work alongside our head chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, orders and stock control.
RESPONSIBILITIES / MAIN DUTIES
Leads kitchen team in chef's absence
Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during big service's
Food ordering and stock management
Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
Works with head chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability, and training opportunities
Assisting head chef with menu creation
Must have previous experience in a similar position.
A fast pace and a cool head is required. You will receive multiple orders at any one time which can be stressful. You will be expected to keep calm while you send the food out.
Basic French desired but not essential
