La Taiga bar/restaurant requires an energetic, professional staff member who has experience in the position of at least Sous chef and preferably Head Chef. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced service environment. He/she will liasse with the management to maintain our reputation of satisfaction and high standards.
The person must control and direct the food process and other areas of the kitchen; construct menus( with management) with culinary creations and updating existing popular dishes.
Responsibilities / main duties
In charge of a team of 5
Able to maintain services of up to 150 covers a day
Working with management on pricing and margins
Stock checks, orders
Organising Staff meals and costing and timing
Organising/promoting themed nights
Closing and ensuring security of the kitchen before leaving.
Proven ability of kitchen management, insuring cleanliness in the kitchen at all times
Ability in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progress,
Motivating staff and being a role model in appearance and hygiene
Ability to think on your feet and under pressure whilst maintaining a positive outlook and attention to detail.
45-50 hours per week. One day off per week. Pooled tips 90 – 150€ week
€2000+ experience dependent
Accommodation, single room and keys all included. (Deposit taken from 1st pay packet)
