Due to a last minute drop out we are looking for a couple (Chalet chef and host) to join our small team in La Tania, 3 Valleys. Previous experience in the hospitality industry is essential and applicants who have run a catered chalet before are strongly preferred.

One of you will be an outstanding chalet chef, and the other will be a friendly, presentable chalet host.
We want our guests to have the best experience possible, so our standards are high and we want to give our guests an outstanding culinary experience with the wow factor, so we only employ chefs with restaurant experience or significant training from a cookery school or college.
You must be enthusiastic, love the mountains, be professional and have an eye for detail.
There are two defined roles as set out below:
Relevant qualifications or professional experience is required, and a passion as well as confidence for cooking for a large group of people is necessary as well as a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. We are serious about our food and have very high standards!
Six days a week, you will provide breakfast, afternoon tea, pre dinner canapés and a four-course dinner with wine (also children’s high tea when required).
You will devise your own menu, giving you the freedom to show off your creativity and flair with a generous budget. You will be required to cater for all dietary requirements and ages, carry out a weekly stock take and you will have to do a weekly shop.
You will be in charge of keeping the kitchen spotless and well run and assisting with other chalet duties, maintaining at all times good health and safety practices.
You must be well organised, impeccably presented, a good timekeeper and be able to follow our working guidelines. You must be able to plan, cook and present meals to a high standard. You must take pride in your work and at all time be customer focused. You must have great interpersonal skills and be at ease with working in an open plan kitchen. The ability to remain calm, diplomatic and tactful under pressure is essential.
The Chalet Chef is supported by a Chalet Host, who takes care of all housekeeping duties, which include setting up the table and serving at meals, washing up, assisting the chef in the kitchen and cleaning the chalet on a daily basis. It is important that the chalets are kept spotless at all times.Thoroughly cleaning the chalet on transfer day, changing linen, towels etc, sorting dirty linen for collection and making necessary preparations for new arrivals. Washing towels and bathrobes, and carrying out a mid week towel change.
You will welcome the guests, assisting with lift passes, ski hire, ski school and perform a welcome speech. You must create a welcoming and relaxed environment in the chalet and ensure that the highest level of service is given to your guests at all times. You must be knowledgeable about the resort and give a daily weather report. You must be friendly and outgoing, and feel at ease chatting to the guests, making them feel relaxed and welcome.
You must take pride in your chalet, with an eye for detail and genuinely care about the guests. You must be well organised, impeccably presented, a good timekeeper and be able to follow our working guidelines.
A "can do" attitude and the desire to please, with a genuine passion for working in the hospitality industry is essential.
Significant catering and/or chalet hosting experience with a great love of food and passion for cooking to good dinner party standard.
Ideally, a recognised catering qualification such as NVQ or City & Guilds Chef Qualification, or extensive experience in a professional kitchen
Minimum of 3 years working experience with a qualification or 5 years without a qualification
HOST ROLE Experience in food preparation, cleaning and a background in customer service
A background in customer service and experience in food preparation and cleaning is essential for the chalet host.
You must both take pride in your chalet, with an eye for detail and genuinely care about the guests.You must be well organised, a good timekeeper and be able to follow our working guidelines.
