Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for sorting maintenance issues with the chalets or vehicles and ensuring these issues are resolved efficiently and effectively to ensure the White Mountain Chalets product is consistently delivered across the business at all times.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Salary:                                  £8.75 per hour

Days off:                              2 days a week (may be 1 full day and 2 half days)

Dates:                                   end of November to end of April (exact dates TBC)

Benefits:                           Ski or snowboard hire

Food (when working through meal times)

 

We are a luxury chalet company, based in the resort of St Martin de Belleville in the 3 Valleys ski area. We are an owner operated business who operate 6 boutique ski chalets, across two brands. We have developed a reputation for luxurious bespoke catered chalet holidays that are tailored to our guests’ needs. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Full UK driving license
  • Maintenance experience and qualification
  • Must be at least 21 (for vehicle insurance purposes)
  • Previous experience of driving large vehicles and on snow is highly desirable
  • Fluent English – both written and spoken
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with a ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to converse at all levels with colleagues and guests
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as being a team player

 

KEY DUTIES – IN SEASON

  • Taking instructions from the Maintenance Manager for any issues or maintenance relating to the vehicles and chalets
  • Fixing these issues where possible
  • Answering any questions the staff have relating to boilers/hot-tubs and fixing any issues where possible
  • Clean vehicles (along with other drivers)
  • Clean and tidy terraces and outside areas cleaned (along with other drivers)
  • Ensure log books are being completed and send photos to office each week
  • Driving clients and staff (when required)
  • Snow clearing (when required)
  • Fitting snow chains
  • Hot tub changeovers with other drivers
  • Managing log and kindling supplies
  • Purchasing kindling and maintenance supplies when required
  • Distribution of logs to chalets (with the other drivers)
