Head Chalet Chef with Morzine Ski Chalets (MSC) - This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate chef wanting to take on responsibility and develop their skills.

Head chef is an important part of our service by creating their own tasty tailor-made menu’s in their own kitchen offering a chance to delight guests as well as over seeing and guiding our other Chefs. while in your spare time you will be skiing in some of the most beautiful terrain in the world. We combine a warm and friendly atmosphere with exceptional catering and personalised service. Our aim is to give our guests the best chalet experience, a holiday of a lifetime, leaving relaxed and rejuvenated.

Main responsibilities

  • Look after our guests to the highest standard possible and ensure they benefit from memorable service
  • Create and plan weekly tailor-made menus
  • Be flexible adapting your menu plan to cater for individuals’ dietary requirements
  • Prepare full continental and cooked breakfast
  • Bake a fresh cake and biscuits for afternoon tea
  • Provide children’s dinner when required
  • Create canapés and an evening meal (six days per week)
  • Maintain weekly budgets and ensure all accounts are submitted in an efficient and timely manner
  • Complete all paperwork for accounts/health and safety
  • Ensure that your chalet kitchen is always clean and tidy

  • Able to plan, cook and produce meals to a high standard
  • Excellent guest relations and interpersonal skills
  • Good self-motivation
  • Organised, highly flexible and pro-active
  • Ability to work closely, explain and delegate to other chefs
  • Excellent time keeping and reliability
  • Forward thinking and planning
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, diplomatic and tactful under pressure
  • Problem solving and adapting in the kitchen

Essential requirements

  • UK/EU Passport
  • Experience cooking for large groups
  • Experience in a professional cooking environment
  • Experience overseeing/managing people
  • A full UK/EU driving licence
